Hands-On Session on Advanced Gridpath Model (IRP Tool)
Workshop 5 marks the concluding session in the series of capacity-building workshops under the Integrated Resource Planning (IRP) Initiative in Rajasthan, aimed at advancing the state’s energy transition through collaborative, data-driven approaches. Organized by WRI India in partnership with Prayas Energy Group, the Environmental Markets Lab (emLab) at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and Malaviya National Institute of Technology (MNIT) Jaipur, this workshop will bring together key stakeholders from utilities, regulatory institutions, academia, and research to strengthen practical skills in advanced energy system modeling using GridPath.
This final workshop in the series will feature an intensive hands-on session with the Rajasthan Prototype Capacity Expansion Model, focusing on customizing and validating input data, running scenarios, and interpreting results for long-term planning decisions. In this session, participants will learn to compare multiple scenarios in parallel through visualizations, providing deeper insights into trade-offs and system choices. The program will include a sector overview, reflections from the previous workshop, and closing remarks highlighting the collective learning journey of the IRP initiative.
Join us on 10th September 2025 at MNIT Jaipur for this culminating workshop to consolidate technical expertise, foster collaborative dialogue, and contribute to a shared roadmap for Rajasthan’s reliable, sustainable, and renewable energy future.
